Paradise at Austin Playhouse

Austin Playhouse is happy to announce our TBA this season will be the regional premiere of the new bluegrass musical, Paradise. This new musical is currently running to sold-out houses in L.A. and will stop in Texas for our co-production with Ruskin Theatre Company on its way to New York. We’re so excited to play a part in the development of this wonderful show and look forward to introducing it to Austin audiences!

Coming off of a sold out run in Los Angeles, Paradise, a sinfully divine bluegrass comedy, brings its irreverent, heart-warming, toe-tapping show to Austin Playhouse before heading across the country. This down-on-their-luck Southern coal mining town gets a big dose of reality when a charismatic Preacher, saucy Stripper, and greedy Hollywood production company show up to try to create their own version of the American Dream.
