CABAREX: ORIGENES at The VORTEX

ProyectoTEATRO, in collaboration with The VORTEX, Escándalo! and a butt load of other Latinx artists, invite you to jump back in time with this comedic and risqué time-travelling journey to discover the origins of the Latino world (well, at least our version of how it all began). We’ll reveal how the Malinche seduced Cortez (and perhaps with what *wink*), the birthplace of Latino passion, catch a glimpse of Cristopher Columbus and his band of skimpy colonizers, the Virgin Mary’s debut, and all of our spicy cultural quirks in a full-on, bedazzled cabaret show full of dance, improv, drag, and live singing!

PS: Performed in Spanish, sometimes in Spanglish, and with English supertitles (Well, except during the improv parts because...well, if you know, you know.)

SOBRE EL ESPECTÁCULO

ProyectoTEATRO, en colaboración con The Vortex, Escándalo!, y un chingo de artistxs más, los invitamos a echarse un brinquito al pasado con mucho sentido del humor que los llevará a descubrir el origen del mundo Latino (bueno, nuestra versión), lleno de comicidad y sensualidad. Veremos la novela de amor de cómo (y con qué) la Malinche sedujo al Hernán Cortés, el origen del sentir Latino, a Cristóbal Colón y su banda de colonizadores en paños menores, el debut de la Virgen María, y ¡toda la picardía de nuestra cultura dentro de un escenario lleno de lentejuelas, bailes, improvisaciones, drag y canto al estilo cabaret!

PD: El espectáculo es en español, a veces en Spanglish, y con subtítulos en inglés (pero no en las partes improvisadas, porque, pues, no se puede ahí)
