Austins award-winning actor Marc Pouhé portrays Tom, who remembers his journey as a young poet who tangles with his lively Southern mother played by the acclaimed Franchelle S. Dorn, and his sensitive beloved sister Laura played by the versatile, Khali Sykes. Now portrayed as an African American family, the cast also boasts Kenah Benefield as the gentleman caller. The Glass Menagerie highlights some of the American playwrights most imagistic and rhythmic language and will feature live violin accompaniment by Bennie Braswell.

Austin Shakespeare Presents A New Production Of Homer's THE ODYSSEY
September 24, 2019Six creative actors will bring to life scenes from the hero's epic adventures in Austin Shakespeare's new production of Homer's The Odyssey at the Long Center's Rollins Theatre. Daytime performances, Oct. 9-11 at 10 a.m., are designed for audiences in grades 6 to 12 and evening performances, Oct. 11-12 at 7:30 p.m. for families.
