This show, simply, is for anyone who loves to laugh. One Man is a flat-out, full-force, non-stop farce. Filled and overflowing with silliness and music. This show is for anyone who loves classics like Noises Off, Monty Python, A Fish Called Wanda, Faulty Towers and beyond. If you love a period piece? Great news! This show takes us back to the 60s – complete with a Beatles/Buddy Holly style skiffle band performing in between scenes for a wild ride from top-to-toe. It’s a classic story that we all know and love: fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes assistant to Roscoe Crabbe, a small time East End hood, now in Brighton to collect £6,000 from the dad of his fiancee. But Roscoe is really his sister Rachel posing as her own dead brother, who has been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Holed up at The Cricketers Arms, the permanently ravenous Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a second job with one Stanley Stubbers, who is hiding from the police and waiting to be reunited with Rachel. To prevent discovery, Francis must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple. Right?
