Experience the magic of a timeless classic as Alliance Theatre and The Atlanta Opera join forces to present a dazzling new staging of Fiddler on the Roof, running September 4 – October 5, 2025 at the Alliance Theatre. This extraordinary collaboration brings together the finest talent from both the theatrical and operatic worlds to reimagine this beloved musical, exploring the enduring power of family, tradition, and community in navigating life’s greatest challenges. Leading the cast is Itzik Cohen as Tevye, internationally recognized for his role as Captain Gabi Ayub in Netflix’s Fauda, and noted for performances in films including A Matter of Size and The Women’s Balcony. Opposite him, Tony and Grammy Award winner Debbie Gravitte brings her celebrated stage presence to the role of Golde, with a career spanning Broadway classics like Chicago, Les Misérables, and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, as well as concert appearances with major symphony orchestras.
