Carmela Full of Wishes is a lyrical adaptation of Matt de la Peña's award-winning picture book that explores the joys of family and imagination within a vibrant Latino community. Directed by Dell Howlett, the story follows young Carmela on her birthday, as she embarks on errands with her brother and discovers a dandelion that can grant wishes. As her imagination intertwines with reality, Carmela must navigate the meaning of her desires in a heartwarming celebration of heritage and resilience. The production is set to run at the Goizueta Stage for Youth & Families at Alliance Theatre.
