Darius de Haas Leads Alliance's 'Jesus Christ Superstar: GOSPEL' 1/14

The full cast and creative team details for The ALLIANCE THEATRE production of Jesus Christ Superstar GOSPEL was recently announced.

Jesus Christ Superstar GOSPEL, a reconceived version of the Tim Rice-Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will be directed bySusan V. Booth and is set to run January 14-February 22, with an opening on January 21.

The new musical adds a gospel twist on Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's classics.

The principal cast will include Darius de Haas as Jesus; Nicole Long as Mary Magdalene; Darryl JoVan Williams as Judas; Eric Jordan Young as Herod; Destan Owens as Pilate; Keith Adams as Simon; and Philip Dorian McAdoo as Peter. The cast will also include Stephanie Battle, Rodney Boyden, Phillip Boykin, Jaime Cepero, Chandra Currelley, Jesse Jones, Arian Keddell, Bernadine Mitchell, CJay Hardy Philip, Glenn Rainey, Eugene H. Russell IV, Brett Sturgis, Chalres E. Wallace, J.D. Webster, and Hollie E. Wright.

The choir will include Adam McKnight (choir leader), ChArlene Anderson, Christy Clark, Jae Franklin, Latarsha Horne, Cynthia Jackson, Jennifer Jordan, Jamie Katz, Naomi Lavette, Paul Vincent, Demond Mason, Cassandra McCullough, Arle Michel, Eric Moore, Jennifer Myles, Latrice Pace, Valerie Payton, Steven Roberts, Jeremy Sage, Tameka Scotton, JoNathan Smith, Tim Stylez, Alecia Terry, Cory Washington, Ranea White, BurgAndy Williams, and Yolonda Williams.

The creative team will include Michael Yeargan (set designer), Paul Tazewell (costume designer), Robert Wierzel (lighting designer),Jon Weston (sound designer), Darryl JoVan Williams (gospel vocal arranger), and Dave Pierce (orchestrator).
