sq product theatre & BMoCA to Welcome Michelle Ellsworth for Boulder Arts Week 2015

square product theatre, in partnership with the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, is pleased to present a pre-mortem presentation and conversation with Michelle Ellsworth as part of Boulder Arts Week 2015. This Expert Talk is offered in preparation for the Colorado premiere of Ellsworth's newest work, Clytigation.
Clytigation is a multi-media performance and installation incorporating a box, a bike, and a coin operated choreography generator. Across multiple platforms, Ellsworth demonstrates her "over-the-counter counter-terrorism" protocols for avoiding surveillance and interpersonal drama. Using an ancient text and modern technology, Clytigation investigates the impact of wars on bodies and legal protocols. Clytigation will make its Colorado premiere in the ATLAS Black Box on the CU Boulder campus October 9 and 10, 2015 as part of the CMAP season. "We are thrilled to be partnering with BMoCA to host this event," said square product Producing Artistic Director Dr. Emily K. Harrison. "Michelle is one of the most creative, innovative performing artists making work in the United States today, and we're honored to have the opportunity to offer the community a glimpse inside this exciting and remarkable new project."Videos
