Caroline Bowman, who defied gravity eight times a week on the Broadway as WICKED's Elphaba, will be taking a short flight uptown on Friday night, July 8th, when she makes her solo debut on the stage of Feinstein's/54 Below.

Known for her powerful vocals that easily fill large houses, Bowman began her Broadway career as a WICKED ensemble member, understudying the girl in green. Shortly after opening in the ensemble of KINKY BOOTS, she took to the road as Eva Peron in EVITA's national tour.

Now she promises her fans a more intimate evening of music, removing the green makeup and exploring a role she hasn't yet played in New York - herself.

She'll be joined by director, music director and producer Nathan Brewer for the 9:30pm performance. Visit 54below.com for ticket information.

A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, Feinstein's/54 Below is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. Feinstein's/54 Below presents iconic and rising stars from the worlds of Broadway and popular music. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. The Broadway sensation, Wicked, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz...but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin-smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships...until the world decides to call one "good," and the other one "wicked." With a thrilling score that includes the hits "Defying Gravity," "Popular" and "For Good," Wicked has been hailed by The New York Times as "the defining musical of the decade," and Time Magazine says, "If every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage ofWicked, Broadway really would be a magical place."
