Sierra Boggess, Alexandra Silber, et al. to Join Cast of LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE in March
Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Obie Award-winner Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Ruined), Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid), Alexandra Silber (Master Class), Love, Loss, and What I Wore alumna Zuzanna Szadkowski ("Gossip Girl") and Ally Walker ("Sons of Anarchy") will all join upcoming casts of Love, Loss, and What I Wore, now in its third hit year at The Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).
Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Alexandra Silber and Zuzanna Szadkowski complete the upcoming cast, playing Wednesday, February 1 through Sunday, February 26, 2012. They join previously announced TV icons Robin Strasser ("One Life to Live") and Dawn Wells ("Gilligan's Island").
Sierra Boggess and Ally Walker join the March cast, beginning February 29 through April 1, 2012. They join Erica Watson (Precious), who was also part of the show's Chicago run.
Ms. Roth also announced that the long-running show has partnered with Bounce® fabric softener, to celebrate the role of black clothing in a woman's wardrobe, since, to quote Love, Loss, and What I Wore: "Can't we just stop pretending that anything is ever going to be the new black?" Bounce, which helps repel hair and lint from black clothing, will team up with the show to engage women across the country in a conversation about what black clothing means to them and how it helps them to look and feel their best. As part of this partnership, all audience members that wear a piece of black clothing to a show during the week of February 20th will receive a sample of the Bounce Dryer Bar so they can try the product on their own wardrobe to see how it helps repel lint and hair. Additionally, people can visit the Bounce Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/bounce) for exclusive footage from the show, never-before-seen interviews with the cast, and stories from the audience about their experiences with black clothing.
Written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, opened in October 2009 at The Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street), where it's broken all box office records. Based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman as well as on the recollections of the Ephrons' friends, and directed by Karen Carpenter, this collection of stories dares to ask "Can't we all just stop pretending anything is ever going to be the new black?" Love, Loss, and What I Wore opens the closet on this and other sartorial queries by using clothes as a metaphor for matters far deeper than the average walk-in closet.
Love, Loss, and What I Wore is currently on tour starring Emily Dorsch, Daisy Eagan, Sonia Manzano, Loretta Swit and Myra Lucretia Taylor.
The production, which was honored with a 2010 Drama Desk Award and a Broadway.com Audience Award, is performed by a rotating cast of five all-star actors, who perform in five-week cycles. Members of the rotating cast have included La La Anthony, Samantha Bee, Alexis Bledel, Kristin Chenoweth, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tyne Daly, Fran Drescher, Janeane Garofalo, Melissa Joan Hart, Carol Kane, Minka Kelly, Stacy London, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, AnnaLynne McCord, Anne Meara, Rosie O'Donnell, Rhea Perlman, Eve Plumb, Caroline Rhea, Doris Roberts, Tracee Ellis Ross, Sherri Shepherd, Brooke Shields, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Cobie Smulders, Rita Wilson and many more.
Tickets ($79.00) are available via Telecharge.com (212-239-6200) and in-person at The Westside Theatre Box Office (407 West 43rd Street). Same-day general rush tickets ($25.00, cash only) are available at The Westside Theatre box office, beginning at noon. (Limited to two rush tickets per person.
