Robert Mann Gallery is pleased to announce representation of artist John Mack. Following his exquisite photographic essay of Mexico's urban and rural landscapes, Mack co-founded Revealing Mexico Week, which will be held at Rockefeller Center from October 25th through October 31st. With a host committee including President Bill Clinton, Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan, Mastercard President and CEO Ajay Banga, and founding members Salma Hayak Pinault and New York Jets Quarterback Mark Sanchez, Revealing Mexico Week kicks off with an opening night gala at Top of the Rock on October 25 that will bring together New York and Mexico's most influential figures from celebrity, political, and financial sectors.

Commemorating the bicentennial of Mexican Independence and the centennial of the Mexican Revolution, Revealing Mexico Week offers a series of events that spotlights and celebrates Mexico's dynamic people and culture. On view at Rockefeller Center's famed Channel Gardens through the duration of Revealing Mexico Week, John Mack will exhibit a poignant selection of twenty-four black and white photographs from his and writer Susanne Steines' recently published book Revealing Mexico, the primary inspiration for the weeklong celebration. Mack's careful examination captures the complex juxtaposition of Mexico's cultural beauty amongst the backdrop of its challenging social realities. This balance of timeless beauty and contemporary adversity provides for a powerful portrait of Mexico that transcends social, economical, and geographical barriers. Mack and Steines, whose collaboration took them on an 8-year journey through Mexico's 31 states, will participate in a book signing at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store at Rockefeller Center on October 27 from 5 - 7 pm. In addition to the book signing, Mastercard's Priceless NYC program will reward selected cardholders a private tour of the exhibit with the artist on October 27. Cardholders must log on to facebook.com/mastercard to participate.

Revealing Mexico Week also extends opportunities to experience authentic Mexican cuisine and music first hand. Mexico's top-rated chef, Martha Ortiz, will present her signature dishes at the Rock Center Café on October 26th at 4pm. A celebration of classical Mexican music will follow later that evening with the first-ever Opera in the Rink, hosted by Sociedad Internacional de Valores de Arte Mexicano, a non-profit organization committed to children's music education and the promotion of Fine Arts in Mexico. Capping off the evening with a more modern flare for today's generation, Grammy-nominated Nortec Collective's Bostich + Fissuble will perform a free concert at Rockefeller Center.

John Mack's work has been previously exhibited at Rejas De Chapultec, Mexico City and Tishman Speyer, New York. Prior to Revealing Mexico, Mack has photographed Mexico for his 2008 series Xibalbá, Lost Dreams of the Mexican Rainforest.
