NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE Cast to Take Stage at Actors Theatre of Indiana
Returning ATI performers bring credits from BEEHIVE, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and DEAR EVAN HANSEN to the Studio Theater stage.
Actors Theatre of Indiana has announced the cast of Never Can Say Goodbye: The ‘70s Beehive Musical. Here is your chance to meet the outstanding cast of the show which kicks off September 4 and runs through September 20.
RACHEL DUDT* (Laura) is thrilled to be returning to ATI after appearing last season in Beehive. Most recently, she portrayed Heidi Hansen in the regional premier of Dear Evan Hansen at The Carnegie. Her other favorite theatrical credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Carole King - nomination for Best Performer by BroadwayWorld. Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), American Idiot (Heather), Rocky Horror (Janet), Les Misérables (Fantine), Nunsense (Robert Anne), and The Who’s Tommy (Acid Queen). She spent two years with the Broadway hit Million Dollar Quartet. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Dudt has spent over a decade performing around the world. She can often be seen touring her critically acclaimed solo shows on various luxury cruise lines. Dudt first studied voice at Carnegie Mellon University before going on to receive her BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park University.
RILEY FRANCIS* (Allison) is overjoyed to be returning to ATI alongside her honeybees! Originally from Dayton, OH, she holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Illinois University. Some of her credits include: Million Dollar Quartet (Dyanne), Beehive: The 60s Musical (Allison), Blithe Spirit (Elvira), Almost Heaven: The Songs of John Denver (Woman 2), Bright Star (Margo), and Songs for a New World (Woman 1). Most recently, she spent her summer at Ozark Actors Theatre playing Alice Beineke in The Addams Family as well as Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein. When she isn’t performing, she is wrangling and reading stories to little three-year-olds in Junior Preschool. Francis loves writing poetry, painting, being outside and antiquing.
DEBORAH MAE HILL (Wanda) is excited to return to the stage with ATI where she was last seen as Betty Schaefer in Sunset Boulevard. Hill has performed with various theatre companies in Kentucky, Oregon, Ohio and Indiana. Favorite roles include: Ellie May in Showboat with Kentucky Opera, Grace Farrell in Annie Jr. with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Martha in The Secret Garden with Opera Bend, Alyson in The Broadway Rose Theatre’s production of A Grand Night for Singing. Hill is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Musical Theatre at Ball State University where she specializes in Musical Theatre Voice.
MICHAELA McGAREL* (Pattie) is a born-and-bred Hoosier,and is thrilled to be back at ATI! After previously appearing in Beehive: The ’60s Musical, she is excited to reprise her role as Pattie. A recent graduate of Lipscomb University, McGarel holds a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance. Following this production, McGarel will return to ATI as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, a dream role she has always hoped to play.
KAYLA PERRY* (Jasmine) is thrilled to return to ATI for her second season where she is honored to play Jazmine. She was previously seen with ATI in Beehive: The 60’s Musical. Other credits include Swingin’ into Christmas with Kings Island. Perry is a proud graduate of East Carolina University, where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in
KIRA RANGEL* (Gina) was born and raised on the Northside of Chicago and currently is based out of Davenport, Quad Cities. She is excited to return to ATI! Rangel fell in love with performing when her family got a karaoke machine for Christmas as a child. She went on to graduate from Illinois Wesleyan with a BFA in Music Theatre (not karaoke). Her most notable roles include Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show, Tina Turner/ Aretha Franklin in Beehive with Prather Productions, Woman 2 in Songs for a New World at The Black Box Theatre, and Justice in Rock of Ages at Broadway Palm. Kira also has been a principal improv troupe member with ComedySportz Quad Cities since 2021!

The sequel to last year’s hit show, Beehive, this marks the regional premiere of a celebration of the women of 1970s music and culture. The music is the soundtrack of a generation, and the songs are classics that everyone knows and loves, representing artists including Linda Ronstadt, Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Heart, Debbie Harry, Pat Benatar, and other ’70s legends. Never Can Say Goodbye: The ’70s Beehive Musical is an electrifying jukebox musical written by Fred Stuart, with musical arrangements by George Luton.
