Announced this morning, and first reported in the New York Times, casting has been announced for Michael John LaChiusa's "See What I Want to See," which is now set for a run at New York's Public Theatre from October 11 through November 20. The show, which will be directed by Ted Sperling, is now set to star Idina Menzel, Marc Kudisch, Mary Testa and Henry Stram.

The show, which has been suggested by the stories of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and translated by Takashi Kojima will be making its New York Premiere. A description of the show notes that: A park. A thief. A priest. A psychic. A miracle. A lie. The truth. From a mysterious murder in Central Park to a tragic Tuesday in September, New York stories of faith, loss and redemption are explored in this new musical by Michael John LaChiusa (The Public's The Wild Party) with a contemporary, lush score.
