Limited Spots Open for Making It on Broadway Intensive

Limited spots are still available for the "Making It on Broadway" 2006 Summer Intensive, which will take place on Monday, July 3rd thorugh Saturday, July 8th from 9 AM to 6 PM everyday.

"Spend your summer on Broadway! Casting Director Michael Cassara, international voice teacher Judith Fredricks and Broadway actress and renowned teacher Jodie Langel, in association with The Academy for the Performing Artist, will be offering a unique and one-of-a-kind weeklong intensive training retreat for aspiring performers intent on a career on Broadway," according to press notes.  "The week will culminate with a real audition for a panel comprising the top Broadway casting directors, agents and managers, with each participant receiving instant feedback on their work!"

The seminar will include classes and seminars with special guests, including: Dave Clemmons, C.S.A. of Dave Clemmons Casting, Peter Filichia, musical theatre author and critic, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, songwriters ("Taylor The Latte Boy"), Peter Howard (Dance Music Arranger and Conductor of 37 Broadway shows), Michael Lavine, renowned sheet music expert and vocal coach, Kim Steiner, Music Director, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Tim Stone, Stone-Manners Talent Agency, and Boko Suzuki, Music Director (Rent, Mamma Mia!).

Broadway performers including Ron Bohmer (The Woman In White), Jamie LaVerdiere (The Producers), Jose Llana (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Christiane Noll (Jekyll and Hyde) will participate, with more to be announced soon.

All students must be over the age of 16 by 7/3/2006.

All classes will take place in midtown-Manhattan, at the Actors' Temple (on W. 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues.)
