International Center Of Photography Names Kelly Heisler Senior Director, Marketing And Communications

The International Center of Photography (ICP), the world's leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture, today announced that Kelly Heisler has returned as its Senior Director, Marketing and Communications, building on a role she previously held from 2010 through 2013. In this expanded position, Heisler will guide communications strategy for ICP, including managing the messaging and promotion of the reunification of the ICP Museum and School at its new space located at Essex Crossing later this year.

"We are beyond thrilled that Kelly is returning to ICP, especially as we're poised to make the move to Essex Crossing," says Mark Lubell, ICP's Executive Director. "It's a pivotal time for the institution, and we know that Kelly understands our needs, will bring creativity to the challenge, and can effectively underscore the important role that ICP plays in the photography realm as well as in our culture."

Heisler rejoins ICP after holding senior roles at Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits and top agencies such as MMC, Cohn & Wolfe, and Ketchum.

"I'm excited to return to an organization that has only increased in importance over time and is so needed at this moment. I'm eager to help usher ICP into its next phase and strengthen its position as a place where we can explore how images and media shape our understanding of the world," says Heisler.

Heisler began her career as a print journalist and earned an M.A. in communication from DePaul University and a B.S. in journalism from Illinois State University. Her volunteer activities include providing communications support to the Chris Hondros Fund, which advances the work of photojournalists and raises awareness of the issues facing those reporting from conflict areas.
