SoHo Playhouse, as part of its Volunteer Creations, Summer Internship Program, will present Going Up?, an intern-produced and -directed one act by amateur playwright Scott E. Brown. Going Up? will play the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, between 6th and Varick), July 30-31. Going Up? will perform on Sunday and Monday evenings at 8:00 PM.

"Eternal fate is explored in Going Up?, a darkly comic one act about a young man and the mystery surrounding his death. Michael finds himself in limbo, confronted by heaven and hell and forced to relive painful memories of his past in order to secure his post-mortem future. Scott E. Brown challenges us to asses our own actions and our relative control over personal net worth in this poignant view of mortality," state press notes.

"Volunteer Creations is the summer internship staff at the Soho Playhouse, Going Up? their principal project. This full scale production is, therefore, staffed entirely by students aged 19-23 of leading schools BU, NYU, GWU, Columbia, Grinnell, SUNY Cortland and Radford. Creative, technical, and administrative duties alike have been tackled without budget or professional subsidy."

Tickets are $10 and are available by calling the SoHo Playhouse box office at 212-691-1555 or by visiting online. Additional information and staff contacts are available at www.sohoplayhouse.com and at www.myspace.com/sohoplayhouse
