Hamilton’S EDUCATION AND OUTREACH WORK IN THE UK

Since opening at the Victoria Palace Theatre in 2017, Hamilton has provided 30 additional education performances in London and across the UK & Ireland. These performances, known as EduHam are exclusively for young people who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to see the show. They are followed by a Q&A with cast members, musicians and backstage staff of the Hamilton company. Tickets cost £10 each, including a complimentary programme, and have been attended by over 42,000 young people to date.

To build on the impact of these EduHam performances, free workshops have been offered to hundreds of young people in schools and community groups across London. These sessions are designed to keep students engaged in the arts and to continue the conversation around the numerous and varied career opportunities in theatre.

The Hamilton backstage work experience programme began on the UK & Ireland Tour in 2024 and was rolled out to the London production in 2025. This programme is aimed at young people 18-28 years old, who are from underrepresented groups and who do not have any formal theatre training. So far, nearly 100 positions have been offered.

In April 2026, the London production of Hamilton presented its first Relaxed Performance in collaboration with Go Live Theatre. Through this collaboration, the production delivered an inclusive and welcoming experience for audiences with learning difficulties, special educational needs, and/or disabilities and was carefully adapted to support neurodiverse audience members, including those on the autism spectrum and individuals with sensory or communication needs.

Hamilton’s goal is to continue its education and outreach programme with more workshops, more training positions and future education performances as well as other opportunities to support schools and young people.

If you would like more information about the education, training and outreach programmes available at Hamilton, please follow the Hamilton and CML social media channels for updates as they become available.
