Doubt, the intense drama that is also Broadway's hottest straight play ticket, has for the sixth time shattered the Walter Kerr Theatre house record, bringing in $544,155 for the week of June 13-19.  The production previously set the record at $539,123 for the week of June 6-12.

Doubt, written by John Patrick Shanley, recently won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, as well as the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play.  Cherry Jones received a Tony for Best Actress in a Play, as did Adriane Lenox for Best Featured Actress in a Play; director Doug Hughes was also honored with an award.  Doubt was also nominated for four other Tonys, and also received the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play of the Year, the Drama League Award for Distinguished Play, and four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Play and four Lucille Lortel Awards, including Best Play.

Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, Doubt is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?

In addition to O'Byrne as the suspicious Father Flynn and Jones as Sister Aloysius, Doubt's cast includes Lenox as Mrs. Muller and Heather Goldenhersh as Sister James.

Doubt features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Pat Collins, and original music and sound design by David Van Tieghem.  Doubt is produced by Carole Shorenstein Hays, MTC Productions Inc. (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer), Roger Berlind and Scott Rudin.

The performance schedule is Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00 PM, and Sunday at 3:00 PM.

Tickets are available by calling Telecharge.com at 212: 239-6200 or at the Walter Kerr Theatre box office (219 West 48th Street).
