The Manhattan Theatre Club production of DOUBT begins performances tonight, November 3 at New York City Center – Stage I. The world premiere production will open on Tuesday, November 23.

Written by John Patrick Shanley and directed by Doug Hughes, DOUBT features Heather Goldenhersh, Cherry Jones, Adriane Lenox, and Brían F. O'Byrne.

In the 1960s, at a Catholic school in the Bronx, a nun grows suspicious when a priest begins taking too much interest in the life of a young male student. Is she being overly protective...or not protective enough?

This provocative new drama reunites John Patrick Shanley with MTC, where his plays have included Where's My Money? and Four Dogs and a Bone. Director Doug Hughes previously helmed An Experiment with an Air Pump at MTC, and received a Tony nomination last season for his direction of the acclaimed drama, Frozen.

The performance schedule for DOUBT is: Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM, and Sunday evening performances at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $60 and can be reserved by calling CityTix at (212) 581-1212. Group and student rates are available. For group ticket information, call (212) 399-3000 x 134.
