CALLING AMERICA: DON'T HANG UP!!, a tour-de-force show centering on society's quest for humanity, will premier in the Broadway district as part of the United Solo Theatre Festival, hosting 121 solo shows from around the world.

CALLING AMERICA: DON'T HANG UP!! is a 90-minute exploration into America's diverse inhabitants, searching for the "American Dream." SKY portrays a melting pot of 50 hilarious and heart-wrenching characters from her wild double life as a non-profit tele-fundraiser in Hollywood, CA. SKY tells her real-life stories of mingling in Washington, DC with such political figures as Mitt Romney, Karl Rove, and Donald Rumsfeld... juxtaposed against her everyday life of an edgy and upcoming artist hanging out with well-known Hollywood celebrities and practicing leftist activism. Through stories and humor SKY touches upon poignant and timely themes such as immigration, war, health care, gay rights, and teen bullying.

SKY Palkowitz is the Los-Angeles based performance artist universally known as "The Delusional Diva," a cross of Lily Tomlin and Penny Arcade, mentored by performance art maverick, Rachel Rosenthal. SKY is a classically trained Shakespearian actor and character illusionist who has performed nationally in theatre, film and TV, and in hundreds of schools around the country.

CALLING AMERICA: DON'T HANG UP!! is directed by multi-award-winning theater and film director, Klaudia Kovacs, Hungary's most well-known documentary filmmaker. Her movie, Torn from the Flag, is the most successful documentary in Hungarian film history. The eight-time-award-winning, sociopolitical film is about the Cold War and the international decline of Communism, and it participated in the 2009 Oscar competition. Klaudia and her productions have been awarded with the Hero of the Freedom Fight Award by the President of the Republic of Hungary, a Certificate of Celebration for Contribution to Cinema, Art and Culture by the City of Los Angeles, and were entered into the United States Congressional Record.
