Casting has been announced for the L.A. Theatre Works production of David Mamet's courtroom comedy Romance, which will be presented from April 5th through 9th at the Skirball Cultural Center as part of the "Play's The Thing" series of theatre broadcasts.

The show will star Ed Begley, Jr. ("Arrested Development," "Six Feet Under"), Gordon Clapp (Glengarry Glen Ross), Noah Bean ("Numb3rs"), Steven Goldstein (Our Town) and Rod McLachlan ("Numb3rs," "CSI"). Begley Jr., Bean and Goldstein are all veterans of the play, with the two former actors having performed in it at L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum and the latter in its off-Broadway staging.

"In this outrageous new comedy, playwright Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, Speed-the-Plow, Oleanna) skewers everything from sexuality to the justice system. In a world where nothing is what it seems—prepare to be offended," according to the theatre's website. Neil Pepe, who directed the show off-Broadway, will once again stage Romance.

Performed at the Skirball Cultural Center (2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd.),
"all performances of LATW's 'The Play's The Thing!' are recorded live for later broadcast on Satellite and Public Radio worldwide." Episodes air on national radio stations, and can be accessed through the theatre's website and on iTunes, among other places.
