The Bridges of Madison County, the new Broadway musical by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning team Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman, starring five-time Tony Award-nominee Kelli O'Hara as Francesca Johnson, and star of screen and stage and 2014 Drama Desk nominee Steven Pasquale as Robert Kincaid, plays its final performance today, May 18, 2014, having played 137 performances. Below, BroadwayWorld takes you back through BRIDGES' beginnings on Broadway!

The cast also includes Hunter Foster as Bud Johnson, Cass Morgan as Marge, Michael X. Martin as Charlie, Caitlin Kinnunen as Carolyn, Derek Klena as Michael, as well as Whitney Bashor, Jennifer Allen, Ephie Aardema, Katie Klaus, Luke Markinovich, Aaron Ramey, Dan Sharkey, Tim Wright, Jessica Vosk, Charlie Franklin, and Kevin Kern.

The design team includes Michael Yeargan (scenic design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), and Jon Weston (sound design).

The Bridges of Madison County is based on the best selling novel by Robert James Waller. The Bridges of Madison County is the unforgettable story of two people caught between decision and desire, as a chance encounter becomes a second chance at so much more.

The Bridges of Madison County began previews on January 17, 2014 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). Ghostlight Records will release the Broadway cast recording of The Bridges of Madison County in stores tomorrow, May 19. With just its digital sales since April, the album debuted as the No. 1 Cast Recording on the Billboard chart and hit No. 53 on the Billboard Overall Digital Albums chart. It also broke into the Billboard Top 200 albums chart -- a rarity for a musical theater album -- at No. 184. Even with its closing today, there is no doubt The Bridges of Madison County has made a lasting impact this season.

The show has been nominated for two Outer Critic Circle Awards, nine Drama Desk Awards including Best New Musical, three Drama League Awards, and four Tony Awards including Best Actress (Kelli O'Hara), Best Original Score (Jason Robert Brown), Best Orchestrations (Jason Robert Brown), and Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Donald Holder).

The production is set to embark on a tour in the fall of 2015, directed by Bartlett Sher. See you soon, Bridges!
