Cabaret star Ann Hampton Callaway will perform songs from her new CD Blues in the Night at The Blue Note (131 W. 3rd Street) from January 3rd through 8th at 8 PM and 10:30 PM.

Callaway, who will be backed by the Diva Jazz Orchestra, will perform standards such as "Time After Time" and "Lover, Come Back to Me," and original songs such as "Swinging Away the Blues."  She will also be seen singing numbers that she will perform in upcoming films: "Isn't It Romantic" and "The Nearness of You" in the Queen Latifah comedy Last Holiday, and "Come Rain or Come Shine" in The Good Shepherd, which will star Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon.

Blues in the Night will be released on the Telarc label in May.  Callaway's previous albums include Slow, Signature, Who Can See The Blue The Same Again, Signature, Easy Living, To Ella with Love and Sibling Revelry, on which she is heard performing with sister Liz Callaway (Miss Saigon, Baby).

A top cabaret star and songwriter, Callaway has also been seen on Broadway.  She earned a Tony Award nomination for her work in Swing!  Callaway, whose songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Michael Feinstein and others, also performed the opening theme song of "The Nanny."
