The Laurie Beechman Theatre will welcome celebrated vocalist Aaron Lee Battle to its stage, for one performance only, on Sunday, September 24th at 4pm.

"Battle will perform a show that celebrates life, his recent journey through it and of course Broadway. Along with him for the ride are the great songs of Harburg, Arlen, Sondheim, Kander and Ebb, Herman and others," state Beechman notes.

Battle will be accompanied by Bobby Peaco (Rosie's Family Cruise, Jerry Herman's "Show Tune") at the piano. The show will be directed by Broadway's Eric Michael Gillett.

Battle, a Bistro Award winner, recently finished a run of his critically acclaimed show, "Step Right Up." Battle has performed in cabaret since 1986. He has performed at the Mabel Mercer Foundations Cabaret Convention at New York's Town Hall and in San Francisco and has been featured in several cabaret rooms in New York City.  He has also performed throughout the United States, Germany, Northern Europe and Aruba with several companies of Ain't Misbehavin; other theatre credits include Side Show.  Battle was a featured actor in several productions at the Duo Theater, New York, and performed in the Off- Broadway production of The Coming Out Party.

A special $45 ticket is available for a three-course brunch as well as the show. Show-only tickets are available for $20, plus a $15 food/beverage minimum. For reservations, which are strongly recommended, please call 212.695.6909. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd St. (at Ninth Avenue).
