CONVERSATIONS WITH GODDESSES is set for The Big Slapple (48 Lounge) today, 27-28 February, 1-2 March at 7pm.

When Aphrodite, the goddess of love, returns to Earth In search of the reincarnation of her favourite lover Adonis, she finds the planet in a sorry state.

So she decides to linger (for about 75 minutes) to reacquaint us with the wisdom of the goddesses, long banished from the planet, but still lurking in our collective unconscious.

With the help of four other powerful goddesses - Morrigan, the goddess of vengeance, Persephone, goddess of the Underworld, Diana, goddess of the hunt, and Quan Yin, goddess of compassion - Aphrodite hopes to heal our psychological wounds and restore the sacred masculine and feminine to their rightful place - and pick up a hot young spunk along the way.

Hilarious, irreverent, sensual, moving and thought-provoking, Conversations with Goddesses uses cabaret, myth, song, stand-out characters and beautiful visuals to tell its story.

Written and performed by ex-Adelaide girl and cabaret veteran Louise McCabe (who plays all the goddesses) the show also features local newcomers Bianca Sheedy as Visa (goddess of abundance), Caetlyn Collins as Cafeteria (goddess of inexpensive dining), with musical accompaniment by AaRon Nash.

Conversations with Goddesses plays from Thursday 27 Feb to Sunday March 2 at the 48 Lounge in the Big Slapple at 7pm.

Tickets are $33 (Adults) $25 (Concession) $30 (Fringe Benefits, Bank SA or Group bookings) or $28 (Artist Pass) and on sale at www.adelaidefringe.com.au/fringetix/.
