We speak to Olaf Falafel about his 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show Olaf Falafel and the Cheese of Truth.

Tell us a bit about Olaf Falafel and the Cheese of Truth.

It's a standup show mixed with my (increasingly viral) six-second Vine videos. I attempt to answer the question, 'What makes a man?'. Expect references to Phil Collins, rude pumpkins and kids with moustaches.

What was the inspiration behind the show?

The story started to present itself to me after I was lucky enough to chance upon some mystical cheese

Why was this particular cheese so mystical?

I bought it from a shamanic shopkeeper (who looks remarkably like comedian Mark Silcox), who explained that the cheese had been made by a magical cow and contains truth-filtering properties.

This is your debut hour at the Fringe - do you think you know what to expect?

It's my first solo hour but I've been up here the past four years, so I've got a fair idea of the things/places/people I'll need to avoid!

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Obviously Mark Silcox's show 'Helping Aamer', plus I want to see Pat Cahill, Paul Foot, Spencer Jones, Tony Law, Limmy - there's too many!
