Little Angel FIRSTS Festival Participants Announced

Little Angel Theatre has announced the companies selected to participate in the new Little Angel FIRSTS Festival 2013.

Little Angel Theatre is committed to helping new and emerging artists and companies to explore and research new work. Through our INCUBATE and HATCH programmes, the theatre provides space and time for research and development leading to scratch performances on the Little Angel stage.

The next exciting step in this journey is a the new Little Angel FIRSTS Festival, happening over the next three years, to help companies premiere new, audience ready puppetry productions which they then intend to tour. This work can be for adults, young people or children and all tickets are only £5. The festival is supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

A group of five companies has been selected to take part in the first FIRSTS Festival in March 2013. Each will be offered extensive mentoring by all professional personnel/departments at Little Angel and two performances each including a press night at Little Angel. The mentoring and support continues for three months after the Festival, making a total of six months for each company. These emerging companies are fully professional and we hope managements all over the UK will be snapping them up.
