Pops concerts are pure entertainment as TSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke leads the Orchestra, together with top-notch vocalists and soloists, in dazzling symphonic performances of pop tunes, Broadway hits, memorable melodies from TV and the movies, and more from popular music's evolving songbook.

To launch the start of an electrifying new Pops season, which consists of five exciting programmes all led by Reineke, the TSO welcomes back Rajaton, the fantastic Finnish ensemble that wowed TSO audiences with their captivating vocal stylings in last season's The Music of ABBA concert. The Best of The Beatles will celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' first tour to North America with Rajaton's unique take on the complete Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, plus a choice array of the Fab Four's #1 hits.

Steven Reineke's boundless enthusiasm and exceptional artistry have made him a much sought-after pops conductor, composer and arranger. In addition to his position with the TSO, Steven is the Music Director of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, and Principal Pops Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He currently resides in New York City with his husband of three months, Eric Gabbard.

This season's Pops series also includes: A Celtic Christmas: Donnell Leahy and Family, December 9 & 10, 2014 featuring the JUNO Award-winning Canadian fiddler Donnell Leahy and his family with special guest Natalie MacMaster; From Bach to Bluegrass, February 17 & 18, 2015 featuring Time for Three, a trio of dynamic genre-busting string players; As Heard on TV, April 14 & 14, 2015-a nostalgic and fun-filled programme of favourite TV themes and catchy songs from decades' worth of television with stage and screen star Nicole Parker; and The Wizard & I: Broadway Hits, June 15 & 16, 2015 showcasing the music of GRAMMY® and Oscar-winning composer, Stephen Schwartz who has penned the incredibly 'popular' musicals of Godspell, Pippin and Wicked.
