Young People's Theatre (YPT) has been overwhelmed by the response to Seussical by critics and audience members alike, with performances selling out! There are still a few good seats available up to and including Holliday Week -- but you need to act fast. Best seats and prices can be found at 11am performances.

Young People's Theatre, or Whoville (check out the front of YPT's building and the giant striped hat on the roof) will be a hive of a holiday family fun from December 27th to 31st. Prior to seeing the show, kids can participate in a free scavenger hunt through YPT's historic building. Audience members should arrive 30 minutes early to participate.

An all-time favourite at YPT, Seussical promotes the notion that "a person's a person no matter how small". It's a show the Toronto Star calls "terrific" and NOW magazine proclaims is "fun for the entire family".

In this delightful musical, based on the beloved Dr. Seuss books, Horton the Elephant seems powerless to convince anyone in the Jungle of Nool that he can hear the panicked cries for help from the tiny world of Whoville... perched on a speck of dust caught on a clover. But the big-hearted, faithful elephant not only finds a way to change everyone's minds but to enshrine a new dictum... that a person's a person, no matter how small.

Directed by Thom Allison, Seussical features Jahlen Barnes, Erin Breen, Arinea Hermans, Mike Jackson, Jacob MacInnis, Jeigh Madjus, Robert Markus, Grace McRae, Erica Peck, Claire Rouleau and Jonathan Tan.

The Creative Team includes Musical Director/Keyboard/Score Arrangements/Orchestration Jeannie Wyse, Choreographer Kimberley Rampersad, Set Designer Judith Bowden, Costume Designer Charlotte Dean, Lighting Designer Jason Hand, Sound Designer Michael Laird, Keyboard Diane Leah, Percussion Jamie Drake, and Stage Manager Kristin McCollum.
