Toronto-based theatre company Breathe.Feel.Love announced today that its production of the cult rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch will make its return to Toronto on January 9, 2013 for a three-week run at the Drake Underground.

“After a successful run of performances around central Canada, we are very excited to perform Hedwig for Toronto audiences again,” said Seth Drabinsky, who plays Hedwig in Breathe.Feel.Love’s production in addition to his role of director and co-producer.

Written by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a rock concert style musical featuring an array of biographical interludes courtesy of trans-bombshell Hedwig, former East-German twink and lead singer of nonchalant indie band ‘The Angry Inch’. This production takes the audience through a tragic story of betrayal, emotional and physical sacrifice, and love.

Following a successful tour across Ontario and Manitoba in 2010, Breathe.Feel.Love’s production of Hedwig performed to sold-out audiences at the 2011 Winnipeg Fringe Festival in addition to a very well-received one-night engagement at Montreal's Le National and a unique outdoor performance on the main stage of Ottawa's Capital Pride Festival.

Tickets go on sale November 15 and range from $25 to $35. Tickets are available in advance at www.breathefeellove.com or at the door on the day of each performance.
