World-renowned Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tuesday, March 1st at 8pm.

With acclaimed Cellist/Conductor Dmitry Yablonsky at the helm, The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra's program will include Alexander Tchaikovsky (b. 1946) The Khojaly Requiem (2012), Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) Cello Concerto No.1 in A minor OP.33 (Israeli teenage virtuoso Danielle Akta will be the guest soloist on the cello) and Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) Symphony #2 in E minor, OP. 27*.The Khojaly Requiem will feature a Tar solo. A Tar is a traditional instrument shared by many countries including Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and others in the Caucasus region.
