The Dixie Swim Club by Hope Wooten Jones will open April 19 and run through May 5 at City Theatre. Join the Dixie Swim Club and take part in a big, warm southern style party on the beach. The show follows five college girlfriends over 33 years as they reconnect each summer at a beach house in North Carolina.

In the hands of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten (Golden Girls) it's a non-stop rapid fire outrageous adventure celebrating marriage, children, career, divorce and all the mayhem life can dish out in between with a little hurricane thrown in for fun.

Hope Wooten Jones writes collectively and has the reputation of being the three most popular playwrights in the country. They have dedicated themselves to writing about the Southern side of life. And The Dixie Swim Club joins Dearly Departed and The Red Velvet Cake War amongst they're very funniest delights. It's fast, smart and witty; a show with heart that will have you walking away with a smile and the feeling of sand between your toes.

The production runs April 19-May 5, 2013, with shows on Friday and Saturday at 8:00PM and Sunday Matinees at 2:00PM.

Call the Box Office for Tickets and Information at 727-866-1973. Tickets are $22.00. Website: www.spcitytheatre.org. The theatre is located just off I-275 at 4025 31st. St. South, St. Petersburg, 33712. Sponsored in part by the City of St. Petersburg.
