Poster art for AN AUDIENCE
WITH PIETER-DIRK EISH!

After sold-out seasons in Cape Town and Johannesburg in earlier this year, AN AUDIENCE WITH PIETER-DIRK EISH will be back at Theatre on the Bay from 2 November 2015.

Nobody knows exactly what will happen at any given performance of AN AUDIENCE WITH PIETER-DIRK EISH. What audiences can expect for certain is one person who plays Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, Madame Bambi Kellermann, EFF Number 1 Teletubbie Julius Malema, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former apartheid leader PW Botha, eternal kugel Nowell Fine, our beloved Nelson Mandela, Zimbabwe's First Lady Grace Mugabe, former foreign minister Pik Botha, Holy Mother Theresa, a giggling man called Jacob Zuma, Mother of the Nation Winnie Mandela, Cape Flats poo-dodger Mrs Petersen, Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout - and twenty boxes that give audiences the power to make Pieter-Dirk Uys perform the characters you choose!

It's called democracy! Which box will expose the most famous white woman in South Africa? It's like sitting in the South African parliament and staring at all the MPs while wondering: "Who's got the brain?" Every night will be different, with a new selection of stories, characters and sketches: something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue!

AN AUDIENCE WITH PIETER-DIRK EISH runs at Theatre on the Bay from 4 - 28 November 2015, with performances at 8pm on Tuesdays through Saturdays. Additional Saturday performances will take place at 5.30pm. Bookings are through Computicket.
