Big Boys 2, the smash hit sequel to Big Boys Don't Dance, is set to rock Kalk Bay Theatre for the festive season. It will be performed from tonight, 11 December to 5 January, with an extra special evening planned for New Year's Eve.

Not only will Big Boys Ash and Bradley Searle be astounding audiences on stage, they will be dazzling diners in the Kalk Bay Theatre Kitchen and Bar upstairs, as the multiple award-winning Follow Spot team takes over the restaurant. Follow Spot, who have recently returned from touring Europe and Australia, are known for their slick, power-packed and high energy entertainment and they're be transferring that superlative style to the dining experience.

"Audiences have enjoyed previous Follow Spot shows on our stage, such as Love @ First Fight, Face The Music and Absolucy and it is great to welcome them back for Big Boys 2," says Kalk Bay Theatre owner Simon Cooper. "Remember Big Boys Don't Dance, with Ash's Bachelor Party and the Mercedes and the crash? Well, come see what happens next. And if you didn't see the first one, don't miss out again as this is perfect holiday season entertainment for the whole family!

"We are especially delighted to have them adding their unique touch to the Kalk Bay Theatre experience, which includes running the restaurant, designing our sleek new website and a make-over of the venue, while retaining the building's heritage and intimate charm. Come join us from 11 December for a spectacular season of food and entertainment. You might even get lucky enough to find Brad or Ash serving your salad or mixing you a cocktail before the show!"

Big Boys Don't Dance scooped a number of local awards and was invited to the Brighton Fringe Festival in England where it also won an Angel award. In Big Boys 2, the latest installment of this comedy dance franchise, Ash finds himself in a predicament when a stripper at his bull party steals his car. (Well, actually it's his father-in-law-to-be's luxury car!) Brad steps in and devises a plan for the brothers to enter the "So you think you can strictly come Winning This Dance Competition" reality dance competition, win the prize money and buy a new car. But the plan to save the wedding doesn't unfold as easily as that. Mayhem ensues as the dancing duo find themselves on the way to London where they think the bride has gone when she is actually still in South Africa.... It's adventure with a laugh-a-minute script, great soundtrack, impressive dance moves and 100% entertainment.

"We're so excited to be back at Kalk Bay Theatre, and this time as part of the broader family!" says Follow Spot producer Vanessa Harris. "Diners can expect a lively, vibey but relaxed and chic restaurant experience where they can leisurely choose from a smorgasbord of delectable Mediterranean inspired fare. Our fully stocked bar will cater for all your needs, serving a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, fresh juices, spirits, shooters and cocktails. After the show join us for a nightcap, some of the finest coffee from our very own barista, or a decadent dessert while you chat to the performers."
