Last night, MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) hosted the 19th annual “Night Before” party, reimagined as a special virtual edition.  Hosted by Wayne Brady, the evening raised nearly $2 million, which will be used to support those in the industry who benefit from MPTF’s charitable programs and services, especially during this unprecedented time.

Called the 'most vivid play of the decade' by the New York Times, the influence of Osborne's 1956 masterwork on generations of playwrights cannot be underestimated. The Tony nominated, rock n' roll megahit, Million Dollar Quartet, opens tonight, September 15, at The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival. The international smash hit musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is set on December 4, 1956, when an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock 'n' Roll' who was responsible for launching the careers of each icon, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records studio in Memphis for the first and only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock 'n' roll jam sessions in history.

The sexy men and women of Broadway Bares returned to Fire Island Pines, NY, on June 4, 2016, for two sold-out performances, raising $51,733 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. AFTER three months of renovations by the City of Swan, Garrick Theatre is back in business with the Australian premiere ofSilhouette by Simon Brett. Directed by Fred Petersen, the mystery thriller was first performed in Guildford, England, in 1997 - and now comes to Guildford, Western Australia. Check out photos from the show below!

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

In The Line King's Library: Al Hirschfeld at The New York Public Library, The Library for the Performing Arts presents the largest exhibition of Al Hirschfeld's artwork and archival material from its collection. Actor Nicolas Cage and musician Vince Neil attended MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at Harrah's Las Vegas last night, April 16. Following the performance, the pair went backstage to meet and congratulate the cast on a wonderful show. The group chatted for a while and Cage and Neil even tried on some of the show's costumes, posing for pictures in them with the cast. Check it out below!
