Jones collaborates with his cast and crew to mount an artful production of Alice Childress’ important story. He captures the grievous nature of oppressive racism and the fears of mixed-race couples in doomed relationships. This outstanding production of Wedding Band is being presented by The Black Rep at COCA’s Catherine B. Berges Theatre through March 31st.

The lyrical season will feature 12 titles, such as Turandot, by Busoni, Gianni Schicchi, by Puccini, Le Comte Ory, by Rossini, among others. The program also includes ballets, cinema and music, and concerts in a year in which São Pedro establishes partnerships with the Cinemateca, the São Paulo Companhia de Dança and guest orchestras.

Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin will lead The Philadelphia Orchestra on a Tour of Canada—their first trip together to his home country—plus two concerts in Ann Arbor, Michigan, April 17–21, 2024.

Internationally acclaimed composer and citizen of the Chickasaw Nation Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate announces the world premiere of his new work, The Glimmer. The new work, commissioned by Seattle Pro Musica and presented on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 7:30pm at Seattle First Baptist Church, sets the poem The Glimmer by Washington state poet laureate and citizen of the Lummi Nation, Rena Priest.

Four diverse concerts will focus on American composers and patriotic songs to celebrate Veterans Day. Veterans will receive free admission into the Nov. 11 performance.

The Harmon & Harriet Kelley Collection of African American Art: Works on Paper, an exhibition that celebrates 54 African American artists and their tremendous contributions to U.S. art and culture, continues at Bedford Gallery through December 18.
