by Peggy Sue Dunigan - Sep 9, 2014

American Folklore Theatre (AFT) moves indoors to Fish Creek's Door Community Auditorium when producing the 2014's fall season, The Bachelors. BWW Reviews: ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE Creates County Magic at Peninsula Players
by Peggy Sue Dunigan - Sep 9, 2014

While a storm raged in Fish Creek outside Peninsula Players Theatre (PPT) on a Thursday evening, inside actor Christine Mild generated her own songstress fury starring in the musical memoir "Always..Patsy Cline." PPT's memorable production directed by Brian Russell retells Cline's short yet stellar country music career, through the stories related by Louise Seeger, a friend she met in Houston when on tour. Louise relates her chance meeting with Cline at the Esquire ballroom, where afterwards Cline spends the night at Louise's house, and the friendship lasts until Cline's untimely death in a plane crash at the young age of 30 (b.1932-d.1963). BWW Reviews: Tinder Hits All the Right Notes in Otterbein's SWEET CHARITY
by Paul Batterson - Sep 30, 2014

In the delightful Otterbein University production of SWEET CHARITY, Charity Hope Valentine (brilliantly portrayed by Madison Tinder) has worn her heart on her shelves so many times that she has it tattooed on her arm. The heart-shaped tattoo could be an analogy of the dancehall hostess' love life. It bears the name of a man she planned to move in with, only he dumped her (literally) and left her to drown in a lake at the park after stealing her purse. (more...)

'Aris Reigns: The Kingdom of Vampires' Arrives from Broadlit
by BWW News Desk - Sep 27, 2014

Can True Love survive a war between the Immortals and the Kingdom of Vampires? Will psychologist Sarah Hagan finally choose her love for Aris over her mortal life? Aris Reigns, the third and final novel in the new "The Infinity Diaries" vampire romance series from BroadLit, answers these questions and so much more. The book, now available for purchase, has been released to all major online book retailer sites as of September 23, 2014. Excerpts are available on TruLOVEstories.com. Picking up from where the first two novels, "Aris Returns" and "Aris Rising," ended, the contemporary heroine of this series, Sarah Hagan, must decide whether to pay the ultimate price so that she can fully consummate her love for Aris, a new bloodline of vampire with a centuries long past. Aris has taken over the human body of one of Sarah's patients so that he can once again be close to the only woman who has ever captured his heart. If Sarah chooses to become an Immortal Vampire, she must also find the strength to fight a vampire war that could literally destroy everyone and everything she holds dear. Author Devin Morgan answers all the fascinating questions posed in the first two novels in this final novel: Did Sarah and Aris' love first ignite during the reign of Henry the VIII when Sarah was the handmaiden at court, Elizabeth Wyatt? Is the stunningly handsome DeMarco evil enough to murder the only woman he has ever truly loved? Can Sarah find a home in Aris' Catacombs? Will she take up arms to fight for her Immortal love? Will Sarah be with Aris for all eternity? The novel celebrates 'We Love Vampires' month on BroadLit's hub site, www.trulovestories.com. Click on BroadLit's site to find everything you ever wanted to know about vampires, including interviews with Author Devin Morgan and with Aris the Vampire, plus the best vampire films and books, the silliest vampire jokes and plenty of vampire trivia for sharing with your friends. We discover Aris and Sarah have sworn enemies determined to destroy them. And still to come in book three of the trilogy, we find if Sarah chooses to give up her human life to become an Immortal, to share eternity as Aris's mate. So, the story continues,' says author Devin Morgan. by Meg Wood - Sep 16, 2014

Greetings! I am thrilled to join you here at BWW to recap the new series “Forever.” The premise of the show is that Dr. Henry Morgan, an N.Y.P.D. coroner, has a small secret: He's about 200 years old and cannot die. Shows about immortality have always intrigued me, mostly because they have rarely been very successful. That's odd. Everyone has a fantasy of immortality, at least at times one is not rebalancing one's retirement account. It seems immortality shows should exercise a lure to viewers. That does not appear to be the case. (more...)
