NADA and UKS Announces Winner of Inaugural Norwegian Residency

Following the success of the sixth edition ofNADA New York, NADA is pleased to announce Los Angeles-based gallery Tif Sigfridsas the winner of the first NADA Member Norwegian Residency, available exclusively for NADA Members in collaboration with Unge Kunstneres Samfund (UKS). UKS is a national membership organization and an Oslo-based institution for contemporary art. UKS, whose name translates as "the young artists' society," was founded in 1921 and has been exhibiting young practices while working for the political and economical rights of artists for almost 100 years. Artists Rep & Isinglass Partner to Host Summer Theatre Leadership Academy for High School Students

Artists Repertory Theatre is partnering with local arts advocacy non-profit Isinglass to offer Egg, the organization's three year-old summer theatre leadership academy. Egg is an intensive seven-week program that teaches high school students the art and business of producing their own theatrical production. This summer 2017 program concludes with a week-long planning session for students to develop theatre and arts advocacy projects which they implement in their own schools during the following school year. Theatr Clwyd Announces 2017 Summer and Autumn Seasons

As she completes her first year as Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey today announces the 2017 Summer and Autumn seasons for the company. These include four world premieres; BoHo, a co-production with Hijinx Theatre which features both learning disabled and non-disabled actors, and, after a successful collaboration on the production of Love Lies and Taxidermy, Theatr Clwyd reunites with Paines Plough to open the 2017 Roundabout Season with co-productions of Black Mountain, Out Of Love and How To Be A Kid in collaboration with the Orange Tree Theatre. The Theatr Clwyd and Sheffield Theatres co-production of a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, by Welsh Playwright Peter Gill, will be directed by Harvey and will open at Clwyd from the 21 September ahead of transferring to Sheffield Theatres as part of Robert Hastie's inaugural season. Strawdog Theatre Company is proud to announce the third and final production in its 2016 - 2017 season, Rebecca Lenkiewicz's The Night Season, May 12  - June 24, directed by Elly Green, at The Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Previews are May 12 - 13, 18 - 19 at 8 p.m., May 14 and 21 at 4 p.m. The press opening is Monday, May 22 at 8 p.m. with a Board Night Saturday, May 20 at 8 p.m. with an open bar and appetizers. All performances have ground level access and are wheelchair accessible, with a special Access Project performance Sunday, June 4 at 4 p.m. with a touch tour at 2:45 p.m.* An industry performance is on Monday, June 5 at 8 p.m for $18. Humanitas Play LA WORKSHOP Inaugurates New Play Festival

The Humanitas Play LA Workshop is expanding its presence in Los Angeles, it was announced today. After last year's successful partnership with Centre Theatre Group, Play LA is broadening its focus. Each of the six plays developed from the ground up in this year's workshop will be given works-in-progress readings in the inaugural Humanitas Play LA Festival of New Works on April 28, 29, and 30.
