BWW Review: NCTC's THE BIG MEAL is a Feast of Emotions and Brilliant Performances
by Jay Irwin - Nov 7, 2016

Either I'm getting soft in my old age or everyone has decided to bring out their big guns (theatrically) at the end of the year as this is the third show in two weeks that has absolutely floored me. New Century Theatre Company's 'The Big Meal' takes what can be a simple Romantic Comedy/family drama and turns it into a sumptuous journey served up by some of the most gifted actors in town. BWW Review: Central Square Theater Inspires with WHEN JANUARY FEELS LIKE SUMMER
by Rishka Mehra - Nov 7, 2016

When January Feels Like Summer elevates the familiar nature of a Romantic Comedy by also presenting a play that sheds light on one's moral choice, identity, and representation in society. Told from the perspectives of five people living in Central Harlem, this play finds its success in uniting people of different backgrounds and experiences in a narrative that explores the ways in which individuals react and adapt to the unpredictability of life. Central Square Theater's production of When January Feels Like Summer triumphs not only in conveying the themes of the play but also in showcasing a cast of outstanding talent whose performances are nothing short of memorable. The audience leaves the theater feeling invested in the characters of the play with a fervent desire to watch more of the story unfold and see how the characters continue to evolve. (more...)
