Michael Ball makes his West End debut as a producer after falling in love with the enchanting new British musical, Love Story.

Now following a critically acclaimed sell-out season at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Love Story transfers to the West End for a limited season from 27 November 2010 – 26 February 2011.

Inspired by Erich Segal’s best-selling iconic novel and one of the most romantic films of all time, this life-affirming musical is scored by the Emmy and BAFTA award winning composer Howard Goodall with lyrics by Stephen Clark.

Oliver Barrett IV went to Harvard and Jenny Cavilleri to Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. He was sporty, she played music. But they fell in love. This is their story. A celebration of love and life, Love Story will win your heart. And it might just break it.

BWW Reviews: Adorably Bittersweet OUTSIDE MULLINGAR at Seattle RepBWW Reviews: Adorably Bittersweet OUTSIDE MULLINGAR at Seattle Rep
by Jay Irwin - Apr 30, 2015

John Patrick Shanley may be best known for his incredibly thought provoking play 'Doubt' but there's an almost romantic comedy side to his writing as well. I say 'almost' as I would never want to put his quirky, flawed characters looking for love (like the ones in his Oscar winning screenplay 'Moonstruck') in the same boat as standard romantic comedy. And that off kilter romance has found its way onto the Seattle Rep stage with his latest piece 'Outside Mullingar', showing that his adorably bittersweet style is alive and well. (more...)

BWW Review: Rollins' GUYS & DOLLS is Enjoyable, but Lacks Runyan CharmBWW Review: Rollins' GUYS & DOLLS is Enjoyable, but Lacks Runyan Charm
by Matt Tamanini - Apr 23, 2015

At its best, GUYS AND DOLLS will transport you to another time and place. A place where career criminals wear colorful, oddly-patterned suits; speak with humorous, but non-descript accents; and live lives in which their marker is their more sacred than gold. This place is called Runyonland. Unfortunately, as entertaining as Rollins College's production of this classic 'Musical Fable' is, it rarely ever rises to the Runyonland level. Running through Sunday, April 26th at the Annie Russell Theatre, Rollins' GUYS AND DOLLS is enjoyable, and again affirms why the program is one of the most consistent theatre companies in Central Florida, but lacks the joy and whimsy that makes GUYS AND DOLLS one of the greatest examples of the American musical theatre.
