 Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) has announced the complete cast for its production of Les Miserables beginning later this month.  Directed by Terrence Mann, Les Miserables will star Mann as Inspector Javert, a role he originated on Broadway and for which he received his first Tony Award-nomination.  Performances of Les Miserables begin on May 28, 2015 and continue through June 7, 2015 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Harriet S. The Triangle Rising Star Live Showcase and Awards show will take place at DPAC on Tuesday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. starring student finalists from high school musical productions in the Triangle region and beyond. Triangle Rising Star is a non-profit education initiative created in 2011 to celebrate high school theater students who participate and excel with wide -ranging talents in their musical productions. Drama Learning Center's teen professional company will present Bring It On the Musical next month. Based on the major motion picture franchise of the same name, Bring It On the Musical follows would-be cheer captain Campbell as she is suspiciously re-districted from preppy Truman High to the hard-knock Jackson High. Against the odds, Campbell befriends the head of Jackson's dance crew, Danielle. Together, they form a powerhouse cheerleading squad to stand toe-to-toe with Campbell's old team while they learn about the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal, and forgiveness. (more...)
