TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, Artistic Director Designate Tim Bond, and Executive Director Phil Santora announced changes to TheatreWorks's 2020-21 Season, which is now scheduled to begin in October 2020.

The MAC Awards were scheduled to be celebrated on March 30th at Sony Hall. Instead they will be announced via Facebook Live from Lennie Watts' home. The times are a little different now, but the celebration of art is the same.

La Jolla Playhouse is pleased to launch its 2020 Performance Outreach Program (POP) Tour production: Emily Driver's Great Race through Time and Space, by A.A. The Company Theatre has announced its upcoming production of Steel Magnolias, which ties the bonds between a group of Southern belles as they support one another through life's trials and tribulations. The play served as the inspiration for the 1989 hit movie of the same name.

Mark DeGarmo Dance presents the February 2020 edition of its annual transcultural transdisciplinary Salon Performance Series with performances by Catey Clark, Joan Liu, Jill Moshman, and Frances Rosario-Puleo on February 6th at 7pm in Mark DeGarmo Dance Studio Theater 310. The artists' respective works-in-progress draw on such diverse wellsprings as: the calmness of disaster, boundaries imposed by education, exploring place through sensory memory, and examining the inclusions that form spirals in gemstones.

Walter Stearns, Executive Director of Mercury Theater Chicago, announced today that a production of the hit murder mystery comedy SHEAR MADNESS will run on the main stage from February 7 through March 29. The press opening is Sunday, February 16 at 7pm. This comic murder mystery has slayed the hearts of audiences around the world for more than 40 years, following the story of a murder committed above the Shear Madness Salon - leaving it up to the audience to catch the killer among the actors. SHEAR MADNESS will be directed by the Jeff Award winning Warner Crocker.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. Totem Pole Playhouse, America's summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, has announced a major change in its programming format starting this summer. Beginning May 31st through September 8th, a new 5-show summer subscription series will be offered. The new format will allow Totem Pole to offer a wider variety of offerings beyond the limited productions which the Playhouse produces. In addition to the new 5-show offering there will be several "Friday Fun Nights" throughout the summer which will include family movie night sing-alongs complete with picnic dinners and solo shows featuring performers from Broadway and Television.
