Stephen Schwartz's Tony Award-winning 1972 musical Pippin celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and Oakland University's Department of Theatre is inviting you to join the Guardians of Splendor for some Fosse-inspired magic March 30 – April 3 in Varner Studio Theatre on the OU campus.

Tonight, NBC will air its sixth live musical production. Following in the footsteps of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, The Wiz, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar, the peacock network will be presenting Annie. Based on Harold Gray's comic strip titled Little Orphan Annie, this musical tells the story of a little orphan with equal measures of pluck and positivity who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in New York City in the year 1933.

The 37th longest-running production in Broadway history, Pippin features music by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger Hinson (with additional material by Bob Fosse). The musical’s original 1972 production earned 11 Tony nominations, including nods for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.

For its first post-pandemic production open to the public, the Nazareth College Theatre and Dance Department will present Pippin, with the unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner and three-time Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz.

A major new London production of 'Pippin' for an ensemble cast of eight players will run for 7 weeks, staged in the round, at Charing Cross Theatre from Wednesday 30 June - Saturday 14 August.

Pippin uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by the Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance. The 'fourth wall' is broken numerous times during most traditional productions.

The lights of Broadway have been darkened since March last year. But as the saying goes, 'The show must go on,' starting with the Stepinac Theatre's production of the Tony-winning smash-hit musical, Pippin.

Tsemaye is a Nigerian-born, London-based West End performer. She most recently starred in the World Premiere of a?oeTina: The Tina Turner Musicala?? at the Aldwych Theatre where she performed as Alline Bullock/Ikette, also understudying and performing the role of Tina Turner. Other credits include Janelle Woods/The Shirelles in Beautiful:The Carole King Musical also at Aldwych Theatre. Tsemaye talks to BroadwayWorld about her role as Leading Player in the current production of Pippin at Garden Theatre, London.

After launching this summer with the sold-out musical Fanny and Stella, The Garden Theatre at The Eagle presents a new production of the popular musical Pippin. This is a socially distanced, outdoor production produced by Peter Bull for LAMBCO Productions.
