For over 25 years, PHANTOM has been the Broadway musical all others are measured against. The timeless story, the unforgettable score, an undeniable obsession that could never die.

Winner of seven 1988 Tony Awards including Best Musical, and now the longest-running show in Broadway history, The Phantom of the Opera is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux. It tells the story of the hideously deformed Phantom who lurks beneath the stage of the Paris Opera, exercising a reign of terror over its occupants. The phantom falls in love with the young Soprano devoting himself to creating a new star for the Opera by nurturing her extraordinary talents and employing all the skills at his disposal.

Peter Karrie represented the United Kingdom at the 33rd Annual Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the world's largest annual indoor show, in Halifax, NS, Canada this past week. The event celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, commemorated the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and paid tribute to the loss of the RMS Titanic and the role Halifax played in the disaster in 1912. Karrie was joined joined by fellow Canadian and soprano, Brenna Conrad. Known as the world's most popular Phantom, Karrie has performed the role over 2,700 times around the world in Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. See photos of Karrie performing below! 'It's a dream come true,' says American Native Renee Knapp, the German-Australian Phantom of the Opera Star, who attended a performance of the Vegas production, which will close its doors forever on September 2nd, 'I'm so excited to finally having seen 'Phantom' at the incredible Venetian.' Phantom's Leading Ladies, a trio of Broadway veterans who have all performed the role of 'Christine Daae' from The Phantom of the Opera brought an eclectic evening of music and mostly glorious three-part harmonies to The Annenberg Theater on April 14. The women that comprise The Phantom's Leading Ladies -- Teri Bibb, Karen Culliver and Mary D'Arcy -- have collectively performed more than 4,000 performances of Broadway's longest running musical and have played opposite 32 different Phantoms - on Broadway, on national tours and in Canada.
