BWW Review: Nikka Graff Lanzarone Steps into the Spotlight, Paying Tribute to Her Role Models in HERO WORSHIP at Feinstein's/54 Below

If Nikka Graff Lanzarone was going to make sure of one thing through her Feinstein's/54 Below debut show HERO WORSHIP on February 23, it was that her audience would leave knowing how to properly say her name. Lanzarone, a true-blue triple threat who most recently starred in the Off-Broadway production of SWEET CHARITY, comes from a long line of show business royalty. She, like anyone born and raised on performance, wholly acknowledges the influence of her predecessors (both within and outside of her family) on her genetic and performative makeup. Thus emerged the concept of her solo show. Using the sentient direction of Robbie Rozelle, Lanzarone pieced together through songs and video accompaniment a stroll through her life and burgeoning career, filling the show with exuberance and laughter, vocal prowess and, unexpectedly, a few tears. The Marblehead School of Ballet (MSB) invites dancers to apply now to the school's renowned Summer Dance Intensive and annual excursion to Jacob's Pillow. MSB is accepting applications for its Summer Intensive Dance 2017 programs for dancers ages 11 and over from July 17 to August 5 and children ages 8 to 12 from August 7 to August 11. International students, ages 15 and above with intermediate level dance training, may also apply. The Summer Intensive Dance 2017 programs will be held at 115 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, a historic, scene coastal town located on the North Shore region of Massachusetts in the United States. BWW Interviews: Touring Veteran Reaches Milestone Performance In 42ND STREET

Most actors receive a standard show contract for around 12 months, but that doesn't mean every actor hangs up their shoes and immediately walks into another show. In fact, not only do some actors extend their contracts, but some make an entire career out of an individual credit. Rob Ouellette, who is currently playing pianist Oscar and a member of the tap-dancing ensemble of the 42nd STREET national tour is about to shuffle into his 1,000th performance with the show on February 16th, 2017, so we caught up with him about his experience. Not only has Rob danced his way through six different companies of the musical, but he's performed several variations of the show's choreography, has worked three times with original book writer and director Mark Bramble, as well as with choreography icons Randy Skinner, Kelli Barclay, and Rick Conant, among others.
