David Hayes, who leads both groups, will conduct the performance of these two masterpieces, both of which are inspired by profound historic events and celebrate the strength and resilience of the American spirit. On The Transmigration of Souls will feature the critically acclaimed Young People's Chorus of New York City. The hotel will join Andaz hotels currently located in top resort destinations including Wailea (Maui), Napa (Calif.), and Peninsula Papagayo (Costa Rica), as well as other world-class cities such as London, New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Current artistic director and founding member AJ Ware will step down from her position, as the company enters a new phase of artistic and financial growth. AJ assumes the role of a company member, and remains integral towards Jackalope's future art-making. Jackalope founding member and director of the acclaimed Exit Strategy , Gus Menary, will succeed AJ Ware, as interim artistic director. The all-star duo of soprano Dorothea Röschmann and pianist Mitsuko Uchida collaborate on a recital program of love songs by Schumann and Berg at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Wednesday, April 22 at 8:00 p.m. Ms. Röschmann and Ms. Uchida will perform Schumann's Liederkreis, Op. 39 -- the composer's passionate ode to his beloved wife Clara -- and his Frauenliebe und -- leben, Op. 42, a celebration of a woman's devotion to her husband, pairing those song cycles with Berg's fevered view of love in his Seven Early Songs.
