1st Stage will remain closed in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines until it is safe to welcome audiences back to the theatre. Programming changes have been necessitated by this prolonged closure.

Two exhibitions, Charles H. Mackie: Colour and Light and Marine: Ian Hamilton Finlay, which were both set to open at Edinburgh's City Art Centre in May of this year have been rescheduled until May 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

It is with regret and sadness that the San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Festival program. The multidisciplinary event was to run in partnership with the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) from May 19 - 31.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that it will produce all previously scheduled Spring/Summer 2020 productions as part of the 2020-2021 season, including Jeanine Tesori and Tony Kushner's CAROLINE, OR CHANGE starring Sharon D Clarke at Studio 54, and Noah Haidle's BIRTHDAY CANDLES starring Debra Messing at the American Airlines Theatre.

In response to the novel coronavirus outbreak and CDC recommendations, all Round House Theatre performances for the rest of the 2019-2020 Season will be canceled. Round House will also cancel its upcoming Gala, originally scheduled for April 25, 2020.

Villanova Theatre will present Merrily We Roll Along, the last show of the 2019-2020 Season, directed by Valerie Joyce, running March 17-29. This production will also serve as the last production in Vasey Theatre (home to Villanova Theatre for nearly sixty years) before moving to the brand-new Center for Performing Arts on the opposite side of Lancaster Avenue for the 2020-2021 Season.
