Obie Award winner Metropolitan Playhouse returns with the world premiere of Neith Boyce's THE SEA LADY, a 1935 play bound for Broadway that never reached its opening, in limited run from October 6 - 30, 2022, in person at the Playhouse. A powerful portrayal of tribal violence and the devastation it brings in its wake, it remains Murphy's best known and most performed play to this day.

Written in 1935 during the rise of fascism in Europe, Lewis' darkly satirical It Can't Happen Here follows the ascent of a demagogue who becomes president of the United States by promising to return the country to greatness.
