Víctor Hugo Rascón Banda (1948-2008), escritor y dramaturgo chihuahuense cuyo legado permite echar una mirada crítica al México de finales del XX e inicios del XXI para mostrar con sensibilidad, desde los escenarios, el acontecer social y político de nuestro país, es recordado este 6 de agosto en el 72 aniversario de su nacimiento como el autor de historias que invitan a viajar y reconstruir la realidad a través de personajes llenos de sueños, pasiones y deseos. 

Salvador Novo fue poeta, dramaturgo, ensayista, crítico, cronista, traductor, director teatral, publicista y funcionario cultural; autor de una vasta obra literaria. Entre sus títulos más importantes se encuentran Nueva grandeza mexicana, Nuevo amor, La estatua de sal, En defensa de lo usado, Return Ticket y Diálogos. 

El Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo celebra este mes los 115 años del natalicio de Juan O'Gorman (Ciudad de México, 6 de julio de 1905-18 de enero de 1982). Una de las actividades de esta conmemoración será la transmisión en línea, el próximo jueves 23 de julio a las 20:00 horas, de la conferencia Tradición contra rebeldía. El funcionalismo de Juan O'Gorman, la cual fue impartida en mayo del año pasado por Carlos González Lobo en el recinto del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL).
