Tell us a bit about Only Bones

Only Bones is minimalist physical comedy. It's performed under one ascending light within 1.2 square metre.

What was the inspiration behind it?

I wanted to challenge myself by making a successful show with as little as possible. So I figured out all these weird things that I could do with my body and put them together under one lamp. It has grown into a piece that expresses comically and undramatically how confusing and remarkable I find our existence to be.

What kind of things can we expect to see in the show?

Moo-baas, jellyfish, body-popping, and head-juggling.

Who would you recommend comes to see Only Bones?

Anyone who is curious about progressive physical comedy, new clown, contemporary clown, and then anyone who's keen for a giggle. It's also good for youngsters and oldsters. It's weird but still rooted in comedy so it can satisfy both the hunger for a wonky fringe show and a more conservative palette at the same time, and The Demonstration room is an awesome venue for it!

What's next for the show after the Fringe?

I will have done 53 days straight of fringe festivals with most of those days performing two shows per day, so in September I am doing one performance in Finland and the rest of the month I'm sleeping. Following that, we're taking Only Bones to Mexico City!

Timings and ticket information for Only Bones are available on the edfringe website.
